In the app
On iPhone or on the web at app.brasswell.app, open Settings › Danger zone › Delete my account. To confirm, you type DELETE, plus your password unless you signed in with Apple or Google. There’s a link there to download everything first.
Your account locks immediately and is permanently deleted after a 30-day recovery window. The window exists so a mistaken or fraudulent request can be reversed, not to keep using the account. We email you before it closes.
If your subscription is still renewing, you can choose to delete when the current paid period ends instead. The account still locks right away, and the 30-day window starts from the end of that period.
Without the app
Email support@brasswell.app from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We confirm it’s really you, usually by checking you control that address, then delete it on the same schedule. A person reads every message, and we reply within 30 days.
What is deleted
The account and everything in it: income and expenses, invoices and clients, receipt photos and logos, mileage and time, goals, settings and your app-lock PIN.
Every bank connection on the account is revoked with Plaid when the account is permanently deleted, so nothing keeps drawing data from your bank. Transactions already imported are part of your books and go with them.
What is kept, and for how long
Three things outlive the account deletion itself:
- Encrypted backups roll off on their own schedule and are fully replaced within 30 days of deletion. We don’t restore a deleted account from one.
- Billing records — what you paid and when — are kept for as long as tax law requires us to keep them. We can’t delete those on request.
- Support correspondence you’ve sent us is kept for one year after your last message, then deleted from our support systems. Ask and we’ll remove it sooner.
Server and error logs are kept for no more than 30 days.
Cancel your subscription separately
Deleting your account doesn’t stop the store from billing you.
- Subscribed in the iPhone app: Apple bills you. Cancel in iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions. We can’t turn it off from our side.
- Subscribed on the web: cancel in BrassWell Settings › Plan before you delete.
