Found is a business checking account with bookkeeping, invoicing and a tax set-aside built in; the banking itself is provided by Lead Bank. BrassWell isn’t a bank. It works alongside the account you already have, and puts its effort into the tax side: what each payment owes, what the next quarterly date needs, and the records behind it.

Where Found is the better choice

It is the bank. Money for taxes is physically moved into a separate pocket the moment a payment lands. BrassWell tells you what to move; you move it.

The core plan is free, including unlimited invoices and the tax set-aside. BrassWell has no free plan.

Paying the IRS from the app. On its paid plans you can send federal quarterly payments without leaving Found, and balances earn interest.

Where BrassWell is the better choice

No new bank account. Your clients, direct deposits and card stay where they are. BrassWell reads your existing account on Pro, or a CSV on any plan.

An estimate, not just a pocket. BrassWell works out the year’s tax on the 2026 brackets with your state rate, shows what each due date needs, and reminds you before it. That’s on every plan.

Mileage and time that hold up. An IRS-ready mileage log that applies 72.5¢ or 76¢ by trip date, and time tracking that turns into invoices, both on Pro. It also runs on iPad.

A year of each, in dollars

Found’s free plan costs nothing; Found Plus is $315 a year and Found Pro $720. BrassWell is $199 a year for Core or $299 for Pro. They aren’t mutually exclusive: plenty of people keep a business account like Found for the money itself and use BrassWell for the estimates, mileage and invoices.

Using both, or moving across

BrassWell imports a CSV of income and expenses, matches the columns to your file’s headers and skips likely duplicates, so a year of history comes across in one sitting. Download your Found transactions and receipt images first, and keep the account open until your first BrassWell month looks right.
